DIY Sleeves

It’s that time of year all around the world when it’s either too hot for winter clothes or too cold for summer. That’s why this DIY tutorial is so handy, because it allows you to carry last seasons clothes over to next or dig out this season’s early without sweating or freezing to death. I bring to you, stocking sleeves, inspired by MilkChicUK

f you use footless tights, just skip step number two. You can experiment with any colours. I just used this pair of stockings as they had ladders and holes in them and were due to be thrown out. This is the perfect tutorial to make your old, holey stockings last longer.

To put your sleeves on, just put both arms in the legs of the stockings. This should mean that the crotch of the stockings just above your shoulder blades.

You can wear your sleeves under dresses or t-shirts in place of a long-sleeve shirt. Or if you wear it like I have, under a singlet, you can create a baseball style t-shirt.

I used the band of stocking I cut of the stop of the stockings into a scrunchie hair tie, which made my old stockings go even further!
